Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments.
  • Manage daily purchasing activities.
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
  • Responsible for bi-yearly physical inventory.
  • Review production schedules and orders to determine work procedures and assignments.
  • Monitor and develop cost targets, lead times, quality assurance, contributing to budget and planning exercises.
  • Assess issues and utilize critical and analytical thinking.
  • Documentation of customer information and recurring technical issues to support product programs and product development for future updates.
  • Ensuring the production team has all the required equipment to complete tasks correctly.
  • Work closely with engineering, design staff and outside vendors to ensure vehicles are built and designed properly.
  • Work in and promote an effective team environment, including sharing information and supporting others’ success.
